cost effective solution b16a2
I have a 99 civic Si with the standard b16a2. The car is starting to show its age and in the near future I would like to do something to the engine to extend the life of the car. I have skunk2 cams, and skunk2 valvetrain on the car so I really don't want to get rid of a head I have sunk that much money into, plus the head is solid on the car. What do you guys think is a good cost effective solution for me? Lets say a ballpark figure of 2k. OEM rebuild? Rebuild with hi comp pistons? Poor mans type-r? LS/Vtec? JDM b16 block with higher compression?

oe rebuild would be the best for the life of the car
ls/vtec is only good if you do it right... i don't know if i would want my dd to be ls/vtec
poor man's itr is a nice combo but again unless you rebuild a gsr bottom end its not really extending the life of the car.
soo if you concerned with life span... rebuild the b16
if you want more umph go with the poor man's itr
