Default Corvette Owner stereotype

Im sure everyone here has encountered that person that constantly puts down hondas, and stereotype them to be slow. Well I have today and its still irritating me cause I would really like to know if I would stand any chance in beating him, all motor. The car he is driving is like a 91 modle vette stock versus my Eg hatch with a highly modded b16a putting out 231.6 Chp. Now I know next year when I throw that 100+ Direct port nitro kit on it games over for the vette, I want to get some opinions on what might happen with the car as is..

Why did you let someones attitude get to you? Just race the guy and tell us if you won.

How much boost are you running?

Why are you getting nitrous instead of turning the boost up?

Why do you care who wins? He's still driving a Corvette and you are driving a Civic. If he has to prove that he can beat a Civic, then he has other issues.

is it a straight line race or a race on some back roads? from my experience the domestic crowd doesn't seem to know how to handle a corner, in my stock vx people would always "race" me (they were the only ones racing) and we they slammed on their brakes for a corner i'd just pass em

anyway, i say go for it, those old vettes never impressed me.....now the new ones.....

Actually it sounds as if the OP wants to put the corvette owner in his place.

MHO: The corvette will get you off the line and through first but will pull even in second and you will pull him a little in third. He has 10 more HP than you and WAY more torque. The only thing that you have is about 1000lbs less then the 'vette.

No more bench racing. RACE the man.

Thanks for the replies, I know I shouldnt let this worry me at all but I just loathe the people that think those cars are just the **** right out the box. I think im going to hunt one this weekend after I change my break-in oil to something more preferable

Dont underestimate a car just 'cause its stock. IE. a 'stock' 03 cobra will ******* FLY, as will an LS1 powered car. If the car is a stock automatic then you can start smiling.

Hondas being slow is NOT a stereotype. It's a fact.
And bench racing like this makes you the true winner. Just go ******* do it.

I hate these people that have twice the motor as us then act all big and bad when they beat us by one length
