corrosion on piping what do i do?

Default corrosion on piping what do i do?

Whats the best thing to do if there is some corrosion on exhaust piping, hi temp painting the piping will help maybe?

get some rust away stuff spray it on there then after about 20 minutes use a 100 grit or a 220 grit to sand away the rust. then immediately spritz it with some paint.

A wire brush attached to a drill will be way easier than sandpaper.

remove any loose rust with wire brush then hand sand (doesnt have to be perfect), next clean pipe with solvent,then use Rustoleum BBQ black cause it has a primer already in it and you dont want a ton of paint on it anyhow.spray a few light coats of paint and you are DONE!

Noteverspray sucks,if you dont want paint on it cover it up,plastic works great you can also use tarps,garbage bags,or newspaper,just remember that paper will absorb paint and it can bleed through.

so basicly im to remove the rust with sandpaper and some rust removal spray. Then repaint the section? I was planning to recoat the piping anyways so thats no big deal.
