Default correct tire pressure

I have a 96 civic ex coupe on 205/45/R16. I wanted to know what tire pressure should I use, the one on in the manual or something different? Also does my car being lowered a 1 1/2 inches make a differences? Thanks in advance.

It'll say on the side what your particular tires' maximum pressure is. Use some common sense, and go a bit below that.

eg: My tires' max press. is 50 psi, but I put it at 40-45 for road trips and... you know what? Just figure it out, I don't know why I'm really trying to answer this vague-*** question.

Just use common sense when considering your psi, and you'll be straight.

some people don't have common sense. maybe i should sell it, i would make a fortune.

Yeah, that's good, 35 or so - maybe 40-45 if you plan on doing a ****-ton of highway driving. I keep all my tires at 35

You gotta remember that it's PSI - not sheer volume - 35 doesn't specify an amount, it just specifies how full it is (35psi in a ram 1500 tire is a different amount of air than 35psi on a 205/45/R15).

If you look on your tire it should have a maximum, like 40 or 50. Don't fill it that high, it's too hard.

You're better off just keeping a norm - maybe putting a little more in there if you're gonna be doing a lotta highway driving.
