Default correct compression test?

Hi I am new and i had a quick question. I have seen compression tests done several different ways now and am wondering witch is correct? Some people pull one plug at a time and only pull the ECU fuse. I have seen others pull the fuel injection fuse then disconect all plugs and the wiring harness that goes into the distributor cap? What is the correct way? Where do i find post about this? I am real new if you cant tell

you can do the compression test with the engine warm (not HOT) or cold results will only be slightly different.

1. pull plug wires off/out
2. pull all 4 spark plugs
3. unplug distributor connectors
4. remove injector ground or remove injector clips (0bd2 or 96+ only)
5. have someone sit in the drivers seat
6. hold the throttle wide open
7. put compression tester gauge in cylinder
8. crank engine 5-7 times
9. repeat for all four cylinders.
10. if a cylinder comes up slightly lower than any other, put a small DROP of oil in and re-try.
11. if a cylinder is WAY lower, perform a leak down test to see where your pressure is going. ie.. bent valves or blown headgasket or piston rings.
