Default Core support removal/installation

Ok im trying to get my old core support off of my eg hatch, i dont think its welded on, cause i can slowly pull it apart, so i dont know what is holding it on, should i just bend it off? or is there a certain way to get it off? i plan on bolting the new one on and driving it to a welder to weld it together, any helP? thanks!

there are a bunch of little spot welds around the core support they need to be drilled out its a lot of work to do. Get yourself a spot weld drill bit it will make life a lot easier

There was just a thread about this yesterday that i saw. The person who responded to the OP gave a website and an exact link to i believe jdmuniverse (if thats correct) where the person made 2 cuts and removed it. Maybe by chance that person wil respond here or if i can find it again ill edit this post.

Ok i found it... it was for a 96-98 to 99-00 EK front end conversion, but the link shows them cutting the rad core support. Maybe this could aslo apply to the EG or at least give you some ideas. I hope this helps a little.
