core support expertise
I have a 1995 honda civic dx 2dr with a bent core suport and i have a new one but i dont want to pay 350$ to have some shop put it in if i can do it myself. i just need to know if anyone has any experience with this particular device and how it goes in and where to pull off the welds and put new ones on. i know this isnt an easy task but i am on a very limited budget. so any help would be good maybe a web site or a previous post. thanks for any help.

Re: core support expertise (potential)
take everything off the core support, radiator, a/c etc header remove it, where each weld is you are going to want to dirll that out, the core support might need a little forcing to remove, after that mark where the tack welds were and re weld the support back on
becareful aftermarket core suports are weak as expletive and if you bent that support becuase you jacked the car up on it, it will bend and most likely snap

Re: core support expertise (spork motorsports)
k well. It got bent when I rearended a buick and bent it in to the point where my hood didn't latch all the way and flew up at 60 miles an hour and shattered my windsheild. I just would like to know if any one knows where the welds are and if i could bolt or rivet the support back on rather then weld it. If any one had any pics or a detailed walkthrough about it that would be great. Im determined to find someone that knows how to do this intimately. thank you.
