Default cooling system?? help

i've searched this and found some stuff i was looking for, but i need another quick question answered... i think my thermostat is bad, my car takes forever to warm up and even when it is, it jumps between warm and cold with the heat on... anyway, theres also this gurgling noise from my motor between 1,000 and 2,000 rpms... my car sounds like a diesel.... ive heard that could be air bubbles in my system? sound right? or what else could it be? someone help please!

I would tend to agree that its air in the system. Get that air out because if an air bubble gets trapped in the head, there won't be coolant there and well.... it could cause major problems.

i put in the thermostat, and my car is now heating up fine, no problems.... my fan isnt coming on though still.... i tried "burping" the radiator/ cooling system by taking off the radiator cap, but it didnt get everything out, because i can still hear the gurgling noise... i was told to keep burping the cooling system until after the 2nd time the fan kicks in, hmm... never came on in the first place lol-- what are your guys' thoughts?

Wrong wrong wrong.

Air in the system wouldn't let thermostat to open most of the times. This is obviously a case of the stuck thermostat.'

If you are not overheating don't bother, you prolly got all the air out. Keep in mind that fan prolly won't come on if it's cold outside.

You live in dublin? Take your car to the Valvoline Instant Oil Change at Sawmille and Powell Road. Tell them you need a coolant flush. They will flush your system for you with new coolant and get out any air bubbles and tell you if anything else is wrong.

Tell them Matt Gould sent you and said to give you a discount.(I work there when I'm not at school)
