Default COOLING PROBLEM

I have a 97 civic and the cooling fan is not engaging. i tried a different relay to see if that was the problem and it was not. has anyone had this problem or have any easy suggestions before i pull out the voltage meter and schematics to track the problem.

Check fan switch. Have you tried jumping those two wires on the plug and see if it kicks on?

thats the best idea, try to kick the fan on yourself .

your fan motor could just be bad.

sometimes you can tell if the fan motor is bad by trying to spin it by hand and see if it starts moving on its own, then stops again. however, dont get your hand cut off by doing this

Also check whether fuse 57 or 17 is blown.
