Cooling fan wont turn on???
I have a 95 dx with an LS swap and my cooling fan wont turn on when the car gets hot. I replaced the relay and I know the fan works cause I plugged it into the a/c wiring. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks...how do I jump it? What do I use? I should've added that I had this problem before the swap on my DX motor and it's still happening on the LS motor

Would I need to splice into the fan switch wiring or can I use the little prongs on the plastic connector to go to the battery with?

just unplug it, get a paper clip and jump the terminals on the harness side. and if it turns on, chances are you need a fan switch. and if not, iti s in that wiring. or where the fan is powered from there.

well since this has happened with my DX motor and my LS motor it's probably in the wiring. When the car was running I noticed that I didnt put the fuse for the cooling fan back in and not thinking I put it in. The fan immediately turned on but after that it wouldnt turn on when the engine heated up/

The fuse was blown then I replaced it so their is a brand new fuse in there. Think I could've shorted it by inserting the fuse when the car was running? I've replaced the fuse since then and still nothing.

Could it be your ECT sensor or switch has gone bad? I had the sensor go bad and caused the car to overheat when the car was idling but once it was moving everything was fine.

food for thought. it take a bit for the fans to come on. run it at 2000 for a few. if it is not overheating, you are ok. but it does take a while for the fan to come on.

For now you seem in a hurry
just rig it with a positive wire to keep it running
Fans are pretty easy to come buy - so if you ruin the fan should be too hard to get a new one
just an accessory wire and hook up the positive wire on the fan relay to it
i did it to mine
worked great
