for honda civic 93 dx, my fan never comes on when the engine is hot and the fan is still in working condition also!! so what is the deal?? the thermostat and coolant has been replaced also!

Get yourself a paper clip and disconnect the connector attached to the thermoswitch located on the thermostat housing. Put each end of the paperclip into the female portion of the connector. If the fan activates, you have a bad thermoswitch. If the fan doesnt activate and you dont hear a click coming from your engine bay fuse box then you have a bad relay. Go test it and tell me what you find

well i tested the part where the relay is plugged into with a wire and the fan turns on. if we were to stand to the side of the car by the fender, ill tell you exactly which slot i plugged it in! the bottom left slot and the upper right slot, that be the only way it turn on! i doubt that it would be my thermostat becuase i changed it already. but what are the female slots!?

The brass colored parts is your thermoswitch. If you were to unplug that, the gray connector would have the "female" slots to plug the paperclip in.

i don't believe i've ever seen my gs-r's fan turned on either but it never overheat.
