Coolent back up Reservoir
Is there anyway I can get rid of the back up Coolant reservoir and just replace it with something like a coke bottle. I saw a video a while back and someone had this setup and wanted to see if I could do it to mine because my Reservoir leaks from the cap. But just a thought guys and thanks.

Re: Coolent back up Reservoir
Is it leaking because the hose or the elbow cracked, or is it overflowing? If parts are broken you can readily obtain them from a dealer or a parts car.
Overflowing usually means you're just overfilling it (there should only be a little coolant in the reservoir when the engine is cold) or the head gasket is bad.

Replace the reservior or cap if it's leaking, it's cheap brand new from the dealer.
If it's over pressurizing and coolant is backing out of it you need to figure out why (usually a bad head gasket)

people need to stop ghetto rigging **** just to "look cool". There's a reason why the stock coolant reservoir have an indention on the side.
