Coolant in tranny
Ok guys so I decided to swap out some of the trans fluid today and I ended up finding a very milky substance. I searched online already and all I get is automatic transmissions. The car is a 98 civic EX with a manual transmission. How is it possible for coolant to mix in there?

Re: Coolant in tranny
It's not possible.
It is possible to get some condensation in the case through the vent. It's also possible that you churned and aerated the fluid during removal if you did anything other than let it drain from the drain bolt.

^ Exactly. Every time the fluid cools, it draws-in outside air (expansion and contraction). Over time, the moisture in the air can be caught in the oil. This is also how dirt (dust) gets in there.
Change it, drive it for a week, if you're still worried, change it again.
