ok..lets go down the line...check your radiator cap first..you need to check if the cap opens up to the reservoir at the correct pressure (16 psi i think )...you'll need a pressure tester for the cap..a local radiator shop or kragens might have it..not sure about kragens though.... if your cooling system is doing a poor job...the water will boil hotter and the pressure will build up for longer periods of time..therefore allowing more fluid to go into the reservoir than it will suck back in once the temperature goes down..... check is you purged the system.. (or bleed)....make sure you dont have huge air bubble gaps in your coolant lines....it can cause severe damage.... if your radiator is a bit on the clogged up side...it will spit out alot more coolant when at hotter temperatures..more than it can suck back in....so you will notice coolant disapearin on ya....hope all this helped..it's pretty long and not even punctuated...haha

The culprit for me was blown head gasket. Check your exhaust for white smoke and do a compression test. Hopefully this is not your problem.
To purge the system of air, loosen the bleeder nut on the upper radiator hose, it is near the valve cover. Let the fluid run out until there are no more bubbles.
