Default coolant mixing with engine oil

My gf POS american car is messing up badly. Her coolant keeps getting low so we checked it out and it seems that her coolant is mixing or leaking into the engine oil somehow.

What could be the general cause of these mixing together?

Like the Devil said, it's your head gasket 100%

I've been through 3 headgaskets on the same engine till I finally decided to trash the POS. It started off as what you described, then ended up like this

That's my car YEARS ago with the old engine.

replace the head gasket, possibly get the head machined to make sure its not warped.

if you had to ask i'm guessing you dont know whats involved witch changing a head gasket, if you're going to a dealership be prepared to pay 4-500 bucks...possibly more depending on the ride.

To avoid future problems, you will have to get new headbolts as well. Do not re-use the ones coming off when changing the headgasket. Some people get away with re-using them...but it is highly recommended not to.
