The roof slope of the Integra is sharper than the Civic. You will probably end up damaging your Civic's roof.

probably need to redesghn the skeleton, and maybe a little sheet metal work, might not look great, but if YOU REALLY want it it should'nt be too hard,

i have not tried / even thought about if before so Eh... can't help ya.

i would grab the entire roof skin of the integra, being gentle with the glass, and remove the sandwitched skelton/rood skin area, see what you need, tack or spot it in place. sometimes when trying fitment out you can get a bunch of these little pop rivet like things.

my freind turned me onto them when i was helping him by welding up some lap joints on a golf cart frame, you should use that and modify what is needed.

ohhhhhh and good luck with holding a torch and filler metal on your BACK! haha i could'nt do it, but i suck at tig, should be no harder than doing a roll cage

maybe try GMAW aka "MIG" but sparks rain on you.

i do the SMAW overhead daily, i a spark hits you finish out the weld... it only burns for like 45 seconds. redoing a weld takes like a minute not to mention you're going to get hit by more sparks

Of course the assembly within the moonroof is what raises the glass up. ut the roof SLOPE is not made for that on the Civic.

Did you even go look at the junkyard or anything?

I just think this is going to be a lot more complex, if not impossible (without major body work) than you're thinking it's going to be.

There's a reason this hasn't been done. You are not the first one to ask about it. This is a common complaint, that is, people with Civics wanting a slide out and back moonroof like Integras.

You haven't told us what generation and body your Civic even is btw.

Do you plan on using the hatch or sedan parts from the Integra? You're aware the coupe, hatch and sedan parts for Civics are different too, right?

Have you tried making a thread in the Integra section asking for someone to take profile images of their Integras with the moonroof open all the way? Don't forget to ask for photos of the tracks in the roof too.

That might not be true that the coupe and hatch can interchange. The rooflines are different and so yes, the roof and components sliding over a roof that is not designed for such COULD damage the roof.

It's doubtful that the Integra and Civic use all the same parts though. I know that normally even different body styles only share a few pieces of the moonroof assemblies.

After looking, it appears that 5th gen coupes and hatches have a moonroof that extends over and behind the opening. This is standard. So your car's roof is stock.

I tried to confirm about 5th gen sedans, but could not find any decent photos in my collection.

6th gen coupes and sedans go into/under the roof skin. I like the design myself.

So it sounds like he wants to do this probably to a 6th gen coupe/sedan (if he's US, since US hatches didn't have moonroofs from the factory).

I still don't think this is going to be any sort of drop/bolt in modification.

ok i went to the junk yard and picked me up the entire assembly for $45 so.. i actually put it against the room of a wrecked civic and it looks dooable, with my creative mind i might be able to do it. Im going to have to do some custom brackets for the window and the assambly.

I've had that in mind for a long time. I want my moon-roof to operate spoiler-style(similar to teg). Sounds cool. Keep us informed and updated.
