do you have to swap out the subframe from a CX, VX, or DX when converting from power steering to manual steering?

Right, if you DON'T want to swap racks this is the way to do it. If you DO want a non-ps rack you have to swap from what I've read.

I'm about to do this. I'm getting rid of my PS just to clean up the bay. Here is a link to do it with out changing out your rack. Looks simple and quick. http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/ho...-20-bucks.html

Re: converting power steering to manual steering on 95 Si
ive already had my racks swapped out about 1 year ago but i didnt use a subframe off a cx, vx, or dx. ive probably put 15k miles on it since i had the swap done. i was curious as to what they did to make it work. i know i should have asked them when it was done but i didnt.
