Default Converting a complete OBD2 swap into an OBD1 car...Questions!!!!!!!

Note: I did search but came up with a lot of partial answers. Most of the threads covered before were talking soley about wiring harnesses or conversion harnesses to the other ECU. My question is totally different.

I am planning on buying a 2001 Acura Integra Ls swap in a few weeks. With this being a complete swap (Motor, Tranny, ECU, Wiring harness, Axles, Shift linkage, etc.) at a fair price, it seems to be the perfect upgrade from my single cam. I am hesitant to buy it though because it is an OBD2 swap that I am putting into my OBD1 1994 Civic Dx Sedan. My question is, with the complete swap being put in (wiring harness, ECU, OBD2 alternator and dizzy, etc.), will I need to modify anything because my car is OBD1? Or will everything just fall into place because EVERYTHING else is OBD2.

Thanks for all of HT's help in advance!

Thanks for the post but could you elaborate on what you mean by "some things"?

use your obd1 injectors, get a obd1 dizzy or rewire the dizzy, and rewire the alternator plug, use your harness. you'll also need a obd1 LS ecu. pretty much nothing to it! goodluck

Man. I didn't think if the whole swap was obd2 it would matter. Any explainations on why a full obd2 swap wouldnt just swap right in?

oh. Thanks for the last post too !

It basically swaps right in but like stated before the dizzy, injectors, and alternator have different plugs for obd1 and obd2. You can buy the dizzy adapter or use an obd1 dizzy, use your obd1 injectors and rewire the alternator or get an obd1 one.

I see. If I were to buy an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness would I still have to do all of that?

you only need the obd2-obd1 conversion harness if your converting your obd2 car to obd1. otherwise use your stock harness. use a p75 ecu from a obd1 LS. you wont have to do that.

no, u won't have to convert anything at all. u it will be plug and play bro, ur obd2 Ls integra engine harness will fit into the obd1 shock tower plugs, so u'll be fine. everything will work, don't have to change anything at all. just be sure u are using a obd1 Ls ecu and u'll be fine.

Wow. This is the first time I have heard this. Everyone is telling me i'd have to change a few things at least (alt, distributor wiring, injectors, etc.). You might want to check back on it.

Ps- I passed on the swap and I think i'm going JDM d15b turbo

nope u don't have to. the only reason why obd2 car sucks is because their ecu are harder to chipped and tune. that's why they run the conversion harness and use obd1 ecu. so basically it's the same for u, u can run the obd2 and it'll fit right, u just have to use ur obd1 ecu and u'll be fine. obd1 ecu doesn't read all the obd2 sensor's, so u should be set. unlike the other way around, u can't run obd1 motor in obd2 car because obd2 has so many sensor that the obd1 motor doesn't have, u'll then have to convert things. hope u get what i'm saying.
