Converting Automatic SOHC ECU to 5speed?
Hello i have a 1996 automatic d16 SOHC Ecu and I'm using it on my 1996 d15 5speed SOHC swap. I heard there's a way to reprogram the automatic ECU for Manual applications. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

what linked said is right but only if it's an OBD-I ECU. a 1996 should be OBD-II so unless you already have converted to OBD-I... you'll need to.

OBD2 ECUs, no, you can't. Well, you can chip them, but it's hard and nobody does it.
Just get a 5 speed EDU. Or better yet, get an OBD1 ECU and you can do whatever you like with it.
