Control Arm bolt

Default Control Arm bolt

The head spins, but the bolt on the back doesnt move!! What do I do? I can't really get a hammer back there.....WHat do I do????

Its where the control arm meets the crossmember...

what year and model??? On my 97 Civic, there is no bolt on the back, the hole is threaded.

There is the nut......that the bolt threads through....i don't know what to do...i dropped the car down and it made a clank sound....im so scared to drive!!

Not sure what happen but it might looks like you might have broken the bolt in the middle of it. If the head spins but the back of the bolt doesn't it might be the bolt is in half. You might want to take it to a shop to look at.

Its gotta be a broken bolt. If you try taking it out then you'll notice that the end of the bolt is still in place but the top bolt comes out. What you'll have to do now is drill it out ot tap it out. It'll be a pain but its better than driving around with it like that.

If it's a broken bolt then do a search. There are a ton of posts with good info about this particular problem.
