Connecting your Knock sensor and IAB
Sorry boys this is a n00b question that has me stumped.
So im doing a swap from a d16z6 SOHC VTEC to a b18c1 DOHC VTEC
i know this swap is pretty much plug and play since this motor already had VTEC.
The question i have is, when the time comes to connect the knock sensor and the IAB, it throws me off.
The ECU is a P72, & from what i have read is that the wires i would have to add were the D3 for the knock sensor and A17 for IAB. I also read that the pinout from the IAB can be switched to A20.
i found these diagrams:

now is this just a matter of adding these wires to the harness? cutting them and just putting it into the connector? or is there a better way to do it?
lol sorry boys im new to the swap game so i wanna inquire before i attempt it.
thx

Re: Connecting your Knock sensor and IAB
i made my own harness. Red/blu to (KS) to D3 and Pink/Blu to (IAB) A17 and the yellow/black (also for IAB) to the other yellow/black wires on the driver side shock tower plug. Yes i used a spare O2 sensor plug and had all connections through there so if i needed to drop the motor itll unplug at the shocktower. GL
