Default compression test on used engine.

Hi every one this is my first post, I'am buying a used engine for my 97 Honda civic ex d16y8 i found one with a 140,000 i asked them to compression test it for me. this is what they told me ( 100 - 120 - 100 - 145 ) is this engine any good.

Thanks

Also i was wondering if there numbers would be right if their is no fluid in the engine. and what are the numbers I'am looking for i look at another site and they said 175 - 180 - 175 - 180.

thanks

those number are pretty low. 175 180 are better but i would prefer to find a engine with higher numbers,

i dont know what a stock y8 should be, but 100 is pretty low for any engine.

If it is a stock motor, then anything under 160 isn't not the best. However, I am not sure if those figures will change or not with no fluid in the motor. I always the motor would have had to be installed with at least oil in it, since you are cranking the motor over to build compression.

If the "100 - 120 - 100 - 145" number are the correct numbers, walk away from the motor. It has issues..plain and simple

My old D15B7 had 180 across the board when I swapped it. I'd give this one a pass.

Those are absolutely horrible. Pretty sure honda says if they're under 130, it's done.
