Compression test results.
here is a link to my old post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1325078 I keep changing topics so i decided to start a new post. Ok i had 2 check engine lights before i went home last weekend. I took off my vafc and now i dont have any. I was throwing a 21 and 22 with the vafc on. 21 and 22 are both vtec codes. After i took the vafc off i finally got to do a compression check. Im burning a lot of oil and plan on putting in ctr pistons this winter. Here are the results.
Cyc1 = 177
Cyc2 = 174
Cyc3 = 176
Cyc4 = 180
I was told thats pretty low for a b16a2. What do you guys think?

As long as they are within 20% of each other you should be ok. Did you do the test with the motor hot or cold? This will make a difference in the results.

Re: Compression test results. (komat)
the motor was cold when the test was done. I didnt do it i watch under the hood while my friend did it. I had him crank it till the gauge didnt go up anymore. Prolly about 7 cranks. The only thing im not sure is if he did it at WOT or not.
