Compression screwed :(
Hey guys,
My car was acting funny so I checked the compression and its very low in one cylinder. Before this I was burning oil like crazy and I know my rings were gunna go...The compress (starting from right to left) 120,20,120,190...I was wondering what is the right compression for a 2000 gsr motor. Also would bad rings cause my compression to be screwed? I plan on taking the motor out tomorrow and taking the block to a machine shop to get it tested for leaks and what not. Anyone know how I should approach this problem? Once the motor is out tomorrow I plan on taking off the block having the guys test it then replace the rings and whatever else might be screwed. Anyone go through this before? I also plan on painting the car once I take the motor out and all that "fun" stuff...
1992 honda civic hatch with a b18c1 motor swap...
thanks guys!
