1993 civic ex - just swapped in a d16z6, from idle to 2500 rpm it misfires and after that it seems to run okay, thinking stuck rings? But cyl 2 doubled in comp. , is that norMal?

Looks like you have a piston issue across the board. And No that's not normal.

If you went crazy with the amount of oil you put in the cylinders, then yes, your compression could easily double like this one did.

If I was you, I would run the engine, let the oil burn off and then do another compression check.

Looks to me like this engine is going to need some internal work.

Dry test is just that, wet is add oil to a cyl and crank the engine over a few times to mist the oil in the cyl then check.

Looks like Cyl 3-4 are having issues, and internal work is warranted. The 300 reading on cyl 2 could easily happen to an otherwise healthy engine if you got a little heavy with the oil or didn't cycle it enough after adding oil. In any event, anything under ~165ish dry is no good and we would reccomend opening it and taking a look.
