Compression dilema on D-Series??????
i plan on building a d16z6 wit d16a1 pistons to spank all b16's!!! My question is, wat is the real CR on that build??? i've heard CR from 12:1 to 13:6? According to http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm, my CR is around 13:6? Can someone tell me what the real CR on that setup is??? I only have access to 91 octane and i know that's way too high for that gas.....Also has anybody tried using the 86-87 (pg6b) a1 pistons (1.2cc dome) instead? I figure with those pistons and .20 or .30 milled head, the CR would be around 11:5.......Help me out somebody... Which would be better?

I have A1 pistons in my Z6 with a .020 mill on the head.
Right now I have 110 miles on the engine and I start pinging when my timing is more than 6 degrees BTDC!!! I ran 10% Tolulene also with 92...and the same thing...
I'm actually gonna pull that block out this weekend and put my stock one in so I can actually race next weekend without worry of blowing up this block...
I compression tested it also....240 across the board!!! That's WAYY too high...
I'd go with PM6 pistons
