j/w what kind of compression should i expect with d15b7 block and d16z6 head and what internals should i use if i want just a little bit of boost like 8-10lbs?

Compression is a terrible indicator of an engines wear. Compression at best can indicate a bad cylinder or headgasket by showing a different reading than the other 3 cylinders, but if they are all reading equal you really have no idea if the motor is good or not.

A cylinder leakdown test is much better for this and will actually pinpoint where cylinders are leaking from, whether it's intake valves, compression rings, exhaust valves etc.

i know how to check compression but thats not what i was asking i was asking what am i looking at for a C.R. With d15b7 block and d16z6 head which i would like to build . i apologize for any confusion and whick d series internals are strong enough for a little bit of boost?

Ah compression ratio. That makes sense. I thought you wanted to know the condition of your motor and if it was safe to boost or not.

To tell you the truth, if I was going turbo D series I would just leave the motor stock, have it tuned properly, and boost it till it blows. I don't really see the point of building a d series motor that can probably be had for $100.
