well try the distributor thing it's always worth it. and it worked for me on my b20b
and also yes the injectors will work even sohc ones will work as long as they are OBD1
harness is good. dont forget axles and half shaft. and rear t brake/mount.

also just let you know i tried a EM1's t bracket but you have to use a integras not a civic si's
it wont reach. trust me save your self a lil headache
and no the side mounts mount you are ok to use the stock EG ones.

I've done this swap before, and let me tell you the single easiest thing to buy to make this swap headache free:

1996-2001 Integra GS-R/Type R engine harness

If you buy this it will make the swap literally 100% PLUG AND PLAY if you also purchase a chipped-for-B16A P28 ECU.

I don't care what anyone else says - do it this way and it will be hassle free.

"But his car is OBD1! How will that work?!"

OBD1 or OBD2 is determined simply by the ECU. He's already going to need to run an OBD1 computer, so if he simply adds the 1996-2001 Integra GS-R/ITR engine harness he gets to keep his newer B16A2 injectors, alternator, distributor, etc. etc.

The "OBD2" engine harness literally plugs right into the shock tower chassis plugs on the 92-95 Civic. Because he has a 1992 Civic VTEC is already prewired, and if he runs a rechipped P28 ECU he won't even have to run a knock sensor or wire one up.

I own a 1992 CX with a 1998 ITR B18C5 swap with the ITR harness and it was 100% plug and play with the rechipped P28 ECU.

I used to own a 1992 Si hatch that I swapped a 1999 B16A2 into it, and back then I didn't know I could have used the "OBD2" 96-01 Integra GS-R/ITR harness, so I had to reuse the 1992 Civic harness and it was a ******* pain due to the following:

1. Had to repin two wires on the distributor because engine harness had two plugs - dizzy only has one

2. Had to take covers off of both the stock D series alternator and B16A2 one and swap the D series voltage regulator into the B series housing so that it would plug in - either that or you have to buy an OBD alternator

3. Use stock, old injectors or cut and solder OBD2 injector plugs onto OBD1 harness so that you keep the newer injectors

Extend IAT wires since the OBD1 harness locates the IAT in the intake manifold, but B16A2 IAT is located on intake TUBING itself, not the manifold

You can listen to the he said she said BS, or you can take my personal pains for your own gain and listen to me here.

I will be glad to explain any specific questions you might have. I've got pics for anyone doubting that the 96-01 engine harness is literally plug and play in a 1992 Civic. For 93-95 civics it still plugs in, but VTEC must still be wired up, but it's two wires versus all the other bullshit that goes with trying to run the OBD1 engine harness on a B16A2.

A 96-01 Integra GS-R/ITR harness should not be too hard to come by because people who do those swaps into the 96-up EK Civic cannot use the Integra harness. They are left with a "useless" harness, but you can use it. You might even find one cheap or free if you know someone with an EK with that swap.

Oh sorry a few more things:

1. The idea to cut legs off of a distributor is really, really bad - don't do it. the timing will never be right

2. I forgot to mention the mounts:

You will need the following from any 94-01 Integra as far as mounts go:

Timing side BRACKET (bolts to the block itself) and the mount
Rear tranny/engine bracket
Frontside tranny bracket
A/C bracket (unless you want to keep A/C - do you have A/C?)

The rubber mounts themselves? Rear mount can be the stock Civic, both front lower mounts (look like U shapes) that bolt to the underside framerails need to be stock Civic, and the topside tranny bracket/mount can be stock Civic or Integra

Hope that helps

Did you bother to read my post?

I think it'd be easier/cheaper to simply buy the correct engine harness and plug everything in without hunting for an alternator, distributor, and using old-*** injectors.
