Compatible Starters? (JDM D15B vtec)
I finally got my hands on a starter from a 1994 1.5L civ standard but it doesn't seem to bolt up correctly, i mean it fits nice and snug but the holes on the housing won't line up to mount, my car is an standard and the old starter was mitsuba...
It's just hard explaining to people that i have a "jdm d15b" is there an easier way? lol
Can someone please provide a list of what starters are compatible with this engine??
appreciated thanks.

All single cam ones SHOULD work.
There may be some that are a little different.
I have put nonvtec ones on my vtec before.

If you still have the old starter, you might revive it.

Grabbed one for a 1.6L looks pretty identical so I'm going to go try.. hoping bolts up!! and everyone with D15B'S in Ontario i feel your pain, i just got through a 15 minute argument that my engine is a 1.5L and dude kept telling me its a 1.6 hate when people think they know what it is when they really know dick all about it.

If you want one that works for sure use the D15b2/DX starter.
D15b vtec
Stock Dx trans
Stock Dx starter
works urrytime.
Auto parts people are tards and won't know what you're talking about if you say D15b.
You have to know what you're in there for, and what the part number is or what interchanges.
