Default Compatible Motors for my 96 CX Hatch

Hey Guys, I did some looking around on here and other places on the web, Im looking for a list of motors that would fit my 96 CX hatchback. Im looking to replace the whole motor, block and head, but Im not sure if motor mounts will line up and be a "simple" drop in. I know the B16A motor is a popular choice among swapers. Im looking to go from a SOHC to DOHC and I would like it to be a VTEC.
Ive heard some have used a H22 out of a prelude, but do the engine mounts line up or would i need to change something to get it to fit?
Thanks guys!

In this day and age, really anything worth swapping within the Honda brand will have mount kits to make it as a painless as possible. With that in mind, really it's your own mechanical ability that determines if a swap is a "simple" drop in.
