Compatible HX Catalytic Converter

Compatible HX Catalytic Converter
I'm trying to find a compatible catalytic converter for my 00 HX.
A lot of sites list the converter compatible for CX, LX and DX but don't list HX cars. Can anyone help me with this? I've emailed Dorman with no response.

Re: Compatible HX Catalytic Converter
No advice on this? OEM isn't an option for since 1) They cost too much and 2) I find it hard to believe no one makes an aftermarket part for this.
Every site I seem to find lists the part being compatible with the CX, LX and DX cars. Here is the part I'm referencing.
http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-Solutio.../dp/B000C14HF6
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTO-4340/
Can anyone provide clarification as to why the above manifolds would fit a 96-98 HX but not a 99 or 00?
The only aftermarket manifold I can find online is a $350 Magnaflow model.
Any input would be appreciate.

Re: Compatible HX Catalytic Converter
Those CATS you listed are compatible with your car, even though its not listed. Idk why those sites dont list an HX

Does anyone know if there was an engine difference in the 99-00 HX models compared to the 96-98 HX model?

Re: Compatible HX Catalytic Converter
Despite the model differences the exhaust should be very close.
Try this, Third one down.

You'd think this wouldn't be such rocket science. I'd like to hear from some actual HX owners to see where they possibly got replacements (and possibly the brand). I know there were cosmetic differences between the 96-98 models but I didn't think there were engine differences.

Re: Compatible HX Catalytic Converter
I have a '00 HX.
Here are the main points you need to know:
- SOHC D-series exhuast manifolds are physically interchangeable.
- The HX has the CAT in the manifold and has 1, o2 sensor bung before the cat and 1 o2 bung after the cat in the manifold
- If you live in CA, make sure the cat/manifold has the mounts for the OEM heat shield.
