got the pistons and rods for $50, the complete head and intake manifold for $250 shipped (heavy as hell).... so those are the major costs...
for more info:
y7 block
PM6 pistons and rods (roughly 10.6:1 compression, up from 9.2:1 stock)
y8 head
ported and polished with port-matched IM
Comp Cams 59300 cam to go in after i'm done with the break in.
Comp Cams valve springs
deshrouded intake valves
all sharp edges on pistons and combustion chambers have been smoothed

my buddy that's helpin me out has an even crazier mini-me up and running already, once my **** is broken in, we're gonna go down for a little d-series dyno competition... but he's also got a lot more into his motor than myself, like Skunk2 IM, GSR TB, 12.5:1 compression, MSD ignition, Hondata S100, straight 2 1/4 inch exhaust (no cat), etc etc....

anyone know why, when i first did the pnp, the exhaust ports were extremely shiny and smooth to the touch, but after the wash i had done to it afterwards, the exhaust ports are no longer 'polished'.... any idea why?
