Default Coming Soon to a CiViC near you... (56 Gay Beware!!!)

I was surfing around HASport's 'new' web site a few minutes ago. Guess the rumors are true...

NEW PRODUCTS

The K-Series Engine into the 2001 swap is almost complete. Look for the mounts to be out on the shelves soon.

Yeah, the swap itself is old news, but the ones I've seen involved replacing the whole sub-frame, et cetera. Looked like a f*cking nightmare! I heard rumors that HASport was working on a BOLT IN KIT but thought it was bullsh!t. Guess not!

This is the cleanest K20 swap I've seen. Most of them look really ghetto...

yeah it was in I think honda-tuning. Gay magazine but this was a pretty good article. To do the swap you need to buy complete swap, hasport mounts, front crossmember and front LCA to make it work. Those are the main things i remember and the engine has to be put in from underneath. If you look at the ha-sport car, it is also 5 lug coming from the donor rsx. Anyways, i think this swap will become more and more common and they hinted at later maybe making a mount kit for k-series into eg and ek but we will see. later

Yeah, but you gotta remember Honda cut down on engine compartment size in 2001 and went with a ‘short nose’ design. Not bad, all 'n' all, IMHO. This is going to be the de facto swap for Gen-7 CiViCs; an otherwise useless ride...

Guess I was just "hearing" rumors about the RSX engine already rolling around in a 6gen then.

I dont know if anyone else has seen the article, or if I'm just really lame and late, but they also swapped a K-20 into a 6th gen HB, in the latest issue of "turbo magazine." They said it was runnin 13's stock.... just think what could be done with the bolt-ons!??

I saw something similar in the current Turbo mag. Dr. Charles did it i think and in the mag it said he did 13.2 with street tires and full interior.

Don't those engines have the intake and exhaust on the same side of the head? That would be a bitch to turbo!

Well I've seen about two RSX-S turbocharged around here makin about 325 HP to the wheels on 7 psi. Don't know how the set up would come out on a '01 hybrid though, probably an extremely tight fit by the looks of the pics.
