Default Cold air intake temp sensor

Thanks in advance.
i have a 98 civic hatch back with a b18b1 swap it’s running a p75 ecu that I need to swap for a manual ecu but it’s throwing the air temp sensor high voltage code I replaced the sensor and cleared it but atill comes back I’m assuming it’s connected wrong as I’ve had this issue with other components. It’s placed on the intake manifold typical 2 pin round connector with a green wire and a black wire from my understanding it’s Ment to have a red/yellow wire and a green/black wire connector I’ve checked every plug and spare plug I can find and none of them have these two wires? Where would this harness come from or be located? I believe it’s still on the civic wiring harness if that makes a difference or is there a way I could hard wire it as it’s the last code I have to fix

Don't start new threads about the same problem. Mods should merge this with your original thread.

Solid green and solid black is for the power steering pressure switch, which is on the high pressure line between the pump and the steering rack. What is plugged onto there now?

So keep looking. Also it is possible that someone spliced in a different connector. In that case you would find homemade tape and different wire colors a few inches back from the connector.

Sorry my apologies, I can’t even see the power steering pump looking at the engine bay too right I have the brake and clutch reservoirs and then bellow that it looks like the steering column bolts onto the steering rack it’s all covered up. There is another solid black and green connector with a few other unused plugs down by the water pump which o assume are for an auto transmission. The connector on it at the moment seems to come from the same harness the cps and injectors are on

Take photos of your engine bay.

The IAT plug on a factory '98 Civic engine harness has a squared black two wire plug with a red/yellow and a green/black wire in it. It is normally found above the thermostat housing and between the distributor and the throttle body. This would be for an "EX" harness... the DX/HX engine harness would have the IAT plug near the throttle body in the middle of the intake manifold and would be within about 8 inches of the throttle body opening.

To use the intake manifold IAT mounted sensor, you would have to convert the squarish black plug into a round grey one... and make sure you add about an extra 12 inches of wire so that it will reach from the original location.

That is probably why the OP has two solid green / solid black wire plugs. Someone cut the round power steering pressure plug out of a parts harness to get a round plug, and attempted to splice it into the IAT circuit.

Sounds like another hacks job, cant get it run correctly so sold it to the next guy. Sell the car, get rid of the problem.
