cold air intake install question..

cold air intake install question..
hey mym friend jsut bought a 98 dx and was wanting to install his intake. my question is do i still cut that whole in the side of the engine bay like i did for my 95 civic? help thanks much.

what? i don't understand your question. I have a 95 civic and I installed a cai and did not have to do any cutting in the engine bay.

well isnt there the hole thats like right under the headlight above the fender thats on the passenger side..

you shouldn't have to cut anything, it should be a straight for install, plug n play type situation.

I think he's talking about the hole in the side where your charge pipe comes up on a turbo setup.
It should already be there, if I'm not mistaken that's the hole that the stock intake system's resonator loops around through. Once you remove the OEM intake (think the last bolt to take that "U" shaped piece out is under the car) that piece will come right out and you can slide the intake right in...at least I'm pretty sure, I have to take another look at my engine bay.
