It COULD hurt something if you hit a big enough puddle and hydrolock your motor... I vote no. Get a short ram and be done with it if you have to get rid of the stock box.

CAI does produce a bit deeper of a tone, so if it's the sound your after than just make sure u get a water bypass filter... Otherwise I'd say just stay stock...

injen also sells a cover that goes over the filter which is supposed to stop the intake from sucking up water

just stay stock not worth the money unless your getting for free *and watch out for WATER!..*sorry to steal op, but i know this has been vented alot, but cai does make more power than sri..no matter what denser colder air is better than hot air..but in the end intakes only make max 2-4hp so just stay stock man since its auto.
