coilovers need camber kits?
Hi this questions been bugging me ever since I got my coilovers....when you install coilovers, do you actually need camber kits?
I've heard of bad things it can do to your tires if you don't have camber kits....but some of my friends go without them and they seem fine. I'm not sure if I should buy a camber kit or not.
Any experiences with/without camber kits on your car anyone?

yes u do need a camber kit, unless yur goin to have your car at stock height.
u can do w/o a camber for a short period of time, but u will get uneven wear
eventually and shorten the lifespan of yur tire

Poor camber will also affect handling...every nook and cranny in the road will cause your car to go left, right, upside down...just get a camber kit.

check with SPC (Specialty Products Company)...last i checked they had EZ Arms for the 96 an up civ, but check if they came out with new ones for the fifth gen...they adjust camber and caster...they replace your upper control arm completely...
i don't have a camber kit on my car, and when i did an alignment reading, i found out that i have -2.3 degrees camber on the front of my car...it's great for cornering, but i only lowered my car 1.8" in the front...and i have tires with a 220 tread rating. i'm pretty sure i'll be buying new tires within a few months...
in short, yes, you SHOULD get a camber kit. are they absolutely necessary? no.
best of luck to you.
