Coilovers?

Coilovers?
hey everyone,
new here. I just picked up a 94 civic dx coupe last night, 5 speed, no rust or rot, no issues, 3rd owner with new paint and 180k original miles. I love this car but am used to my foxbodies and my e36 BMW. I want to upgrade the suspension and really allow the car to feel planted. I had bilstein pss9's on my e36 BMW and loves them. I could take exits off of the highway here in jersey at like 65-70mph. It was crazy. I want to keep this Honda as my daily but also autox it here and there a 2-3 times a year at most. What coilovers should I get that'll give me the best performance? I know people are going to say "read or search the forums" but most of the posts are from years ago. Hell the most recent one I've found was from 2011. In 5 years, a lot of upgrades could've been done. Please tell me your setup how you like it, and provide a picture if possible?
Best regards,
Antonio

Re: Coilovers?
Awesome find! For an autoX CRX I ran Koni Yellows and Ground Control Coil-overs, and SPC camber bits. GC had it where you could buy their Coil-overs at different spring rates for racing/street applications. I fab'd up my own upper and lower 1pc strut bars as they provided better rigidity over the Adjustable Strut Bars and were MUCH cheaper to fab up then buying true 1 piece bars. My setup was Bridgestone Potenza RE 71R's on 16" Konig Feathers w/ GSR rotors, ITR calipers and brackets, Hawk pads. Made for a fun 1-2 times a week commuter car and an awesome weekend ride.

if not full body coils, and just a d/d you're looking to improve the handling on, 1.5" lowering springs and a nice set of struts will get the job done. h&r makes a good set of springs, struts are dealer's choice. kyb agx are a good second option on struts.

Function and form type 2
I know you guys are gonna be like function and form makes junk, but have you ever rode on them? Type 2 to be exact.
For a $750 coilover I love it. Adjustable 32 way dampening which for me I can feel a difference in every click. At 12k f 10k r they're stiff but not overly so. Bumps are unnoticeable, on dips I once would bottom out and scrape on I do not anymore.
On the independent height adjustable coilovers they tell you "You can adjust height without messing with preload" That's only to a extent. Anything past a 3in drop and you have to mess with preload....
Not on these. And at the height I am now it truly rides great no bouncyness whatsoever. And I'm LOW.
Did I mention the customer service is great? If you want a stiff coilover for under 1k I'd get some type 2's.

Re: Coilovers?
32 way adjustable? How many of those 32 clicks actually do something?
I can tell you each of my 8 clicks on the AMR coilovers do something, there is noticeable difference.
