Default Coilover Install

Has anyone broke a bolt in the passenger rear suspension. The bolt is called the damper bolt witch connects to the rear strut and control arm. Has this ever happen to you, while installing springs/coilover? What do you do to take it out?
I have a 93 Del sol

i know i should start another thread for this but, what the hell is up with everyone breaking the bolts on the lca? ive lowered a fair number of hondas and have never had any problems with the bolts. even on some old 5g civics with stuck bolts. a little wd40 and it comes out with hand tools.

can someone please elaborate on why the lca bolts brake so easy?

Well, I guess a lot of guys suffer from bad winters and with that lots of salt/corrosion of bolts and other various parts. I broke the exact same bolt on my first civic lowering experience because a lot of parts underneathe my car were rusty and sort of corroded together.

Assuming you've been in miami for a while, you probably don't experience winter/salt nearly as bad as a lot of people.

thanks for the info, the head to the bolt is broken, and the bolt itself is still in the rear strut, i really don't know a way to get that damn bolt out.

you will have to drill it out. use a drill bit a little smaller than the bolt and drill it till it comes out.

while lowering one of my buddy's cars, it took about 10 minutes of manipulation and when it finally did come out, the bolt was twisted. can't believe it didn't break. here in the northeast, this type of problem is far too common.
