Default Coil-(Stuck)Over

So I'm trying to raise the front end by the Coil-Overs. Use the spanner wrench and the whole Coil-Over will spin in place under the spring. So I try to tighten the top nut, again spins the whole thing. Threads are cleaned and lubed up. Use a wrench to hold one in place and use the spanner wrench to twist the other nut, and the spanner wrench bends on me. I'm thinking these must be some cheapies. What to do?

get some better more sturdier wrenches, for starters.
the wrenches tend to be on the cheap and flimsy side for most cheap coilovers.

Sounds like some Ebay joints. The SPANNER wrench bends? That's screams low to no budget right there.

Is it a single perch or locking perches?

2 locking. This was all bought, not built. Dude had the front end slightly lower and I'm bottoming out on tight turns with hills.

Go get 2:

and use one on the lock nut while holding the spring perch with the other.

They're useful for all kinds of things, and everyone who does any work on cars or around the house should never be without a few (oil filter, coolant hoses, water pipes, shower heads, anything that doesn't take a standard open ended wrench).
