Default coil or not

hey guys just got my motor in the the car d15b7.im not getting any spark.so today i poped off the cap and rotor and they were all nasty inside.so i bought a new cap and rotor today.the motor sounds like it is going to turn over now but im still not getting spark.could it be the coil.everything is all hooked up and grounds are good the one to the valve cover and the trans all tight.all wires are hooked up.so is it a coil or not?

the first way i checked was pulled a spark plug and hooked it into the wire and put it to a ground and had someone crank it and it didnt spark.and then we stuck a screw driver in the wire went to a ground and still nothing.
