Default code p1259

so i took it to a local honda dealer and ofcource its vtec malfunction , my question is do i have to replace the whole vtec solenoid or just a sensor >?

vtec solenoid has 1 plug and 2 12mm bolts holding it in place just remove the plug and unbolt it and get a new one

Or before you start replacing expensive parts...... try checking the oil level, remove the vtec solenoid and clean the screen if dirty, and check the oil pan for dents.
