Code checking on 7th Gen Civic?

Code checking on 2001 Civic
I am familiar with all methods of CEL code checking on all civics beside the 01+. My Gf CEL on her civic is constanly on now. Last time, it was just a reminder to take it to the dealer so they could steal her money lol. Anyways, this time it stays on and I am thinking something might be legitimatly wrong. Does anyone know how to check error codes on a 7th gen?

Isn't the car under warranty? Have you tried looking to see if there is a connector near the ECU to jump so you can get the code?
