Code 9 on d16z6 EK!
So the cars a 97 lx that was stock y7 auto when I got it. I put a mini Me d15b with y8 head and 5 speed and it ran great on the p2p ecu. I pulled the worn out mini Me in anticipation of my chipped p28, jumper harness and turbo kit. So I swapped the z6 in along with the turbo kit and chipped p28 on crome. Cars running but like dogcrap. It's throwing a code 9 for cyp sensor. I know it's in the distributor, I know the distributor was good before it was swapped. I spliced the wires for the distributor plug to match the obd2 harness. Also used the y8 intake. Car has no power in gear and wont rev up or accelerate not to mention obvious limp mode rev limiter. But will rev up with clutch in. I just got my wideband in the mail and I'm ready to tune this thing but I NEED IT TO RUN RIGHT. Maybe timings a tooth off or.. I do what you guys think

Mis-timing the cam will make it run badly, but not throw codes.
Plug everything in except the ECU. Measure resistance of distributor sensors from the ECU plug, going through the wiring. Since good wiring adds a resistance of approximately zero ohms, the results should match what you read testing the distributor directly-- have you even done that?

I used the this wiring. Fired right up but has no power in gear and wont rev over however much bcz code 9. But in neutral or clutch in, the car will rev up just like I pushed the pedal, but in gear it won't accelerate to 10 miles an hour I have to pump it and all kind of Jazz then shifter to the next gear to keep the momentum going, it's an around the block driver right now.. I'm pulling the multimeter out now but I know the dizzy was in good working order just weeks ago so I'm leaning towards the crimps not being good enough or not shielded wires or timings a tooth off. Pretty sure a tooth off can throw that code
