Code 45 Help
Hey guys, Ive been throwing a Code 45 on and off for like 4 months now. After taking it to autozone, and having them check it..they tell me that its running rich (possibility of lean and rich with the Code 45). Ive replaced the Primary O2 sensor, and the fuel filter. Could running a AEM ITR CAI (more air and more gas..so maybe the 02 thinks it's running rich) cause this. Ive only been running bolt ons...and am running out of ideas...Ive checked my MAP sensor....and thats not the problem either. Every time I clear the code...it reappears after 2 or 3 days. Any ideas on how to calm down the richness??

Re: Code 45 Help (poison)
****...my bad Poison...Im running a y7 (right now short ram and DC 4 2 1 with a Apexi Dunk...y8 intake mani and the stock y7 ecu. No chips.) The codes started getting thrown before the intake manifold swap and before the header...I replaced the 02 when I did the header, so it's almost brand new, but I didnt end up getting one from Honda (bought from Autozone). Any ideas??? Thanks again!!

Re: Code 45 Help (poison)
nope...no fuel pressure guage either..no extra guages (It was just going to be a bolt on car). After the bogging and lagging (especially at partial throttle) started I determined it to be the O2, but seems like that may not be it after all. My map is the original one (used the y7 tb with the y8 throttle cable bracket) so there shouldnt be a problem there.

I would definitely check the spark plugs and look at the color of them. If they are black/dark dark brown, then you`re running rich, if they are white then you are running very lean.
If you`re running very lean, could be cause of a faulty FPR area, if you`re running rich, could be a problem with injectors, FPR as well.
