code 41 on eg with b18b1
 
been driving this car for along time and prev owner said because the 2nd o2 senror was not plugged in it was throwing the code
i just checked it using the sticky cel thread up top and it throwing code 41
4 long flashes 1 short

from what the thread states its the primary o2 sesor heater wire

im confused now, whats the problem and what are the symptoms
the car runs and starts, and drives fine but idles funny(up and down a bit)

ok guys i guiess the o2 sensor wasnt plugged in now i plugged it and idle is kind of fluctuating worse then before, but still good enough any ideas about idle

and what about the second o2 sensor, doesnt that cause a cel or no if its unplugged

first check and see if the plugs are loose and if not then check for a leak in the exhaust upstream of the primary o2 sensor .... and the secondary o2 sensor should have nothing to do with the code

Fixed, prev. Owner said engine wasobd2 but it was obd 1 I beileve and the wiring was all ducked up so I fixed the wiring on the 4 wire o2, eg cx had 1 wire o2 so I had to add wires from ecu
