ok its a code 3, map sensor correct?
the problem is that the cars idle will drop really low and start missing/rich, when i go on WOT it trips the cel, so i checkded the codes and 3 came up which is map sensor?
whats a way to diagnose the map w/o throwing another map at it? could i just probe it with a test light,
car is a 90 hatch z6 with obd 1 conversion

bah i dont like to do things that way, i hate throwing parts at **** w/o diagnosing it, finding the code was the first part , now i have to figure out a way to test this map, guess i have to use a known good map and test drive the car with that, if code doesnt come on then i can buy a new map, if code DOES come on then its wiring or my ecu.
i work in the automotive field and theres this saying i been taught
anyone can throw parts at a car, but it takes a true technican to know how it happen.
thanx bcuz

I understand you work in the automotive field but I deal with this stuff all day, look at my sig. I am a true Technician, I've been there thats why I say replace it. I understand were your coming from, but sometimes to diagnos, you need to see that part while removed to understand it. O' a wise man once said to me "never eat yellow snow". But dude do it your way if that helps you learn than best of luck.

I got bad news and good news dude, I just checked parts, they list at $295.55. I know big friggin ouch, but while I was in parts one of the other techs, said he has one for $145.00. Probably still cheaper to go to the junk yard, and get like two or three though. As far as all interchangeable, I'm sorry that I don't know.
