Default Code 21 (vtec spool soleoid valve)

I just installed the P28 with the S200 and a basemap, and it's throwing a code 21 now. Everything was working fine before I hooked up the P28...

It's a D16Y8, DSM 450's, n/a still.

Any ideas?

It makes a sort of weird loud humming noise and the idle fluctuates between 1500 and 2000rpm slowly back and fourth. It makes the noise when I first start it until it warms up a little, after about 2 minutes.. it stops making the noise and idles normally. I can only hear the noise from under the car up toward the front, but not from up top. It must be something between the back of the engine and the firewall.

Did you previously have a VAFC or any other Vtec Controller hooked up to the car?

If so check all your connections on the ECU. Does Vtec Still Engage?

What have you done besides install the S200 unit.

Nope, it was a complete stock OBD II setup before this morning. I installed the AVC-R (no vtec wires, that's done right ) DSM 450's, resistor box, made a fuel injection wiring harness, and put in the chipped P28 with the S200b.

I think this setup has trouble controlling the idle or something until it warms up a little. That sound I'm hearing might be the IACV. I'm going to try unplugging it tomorrow when I hear the whine to see if it goes away temporarily.

I need a new connector harness for the S200b too, two of the wires got pulled out and I had to try to solder them back in, but I can't solder stuff that small. I either have to take it to a professional or get another one.
