Code 20 and 21. On CRV-tec. Help.

I have a CRV-tec in my 92 dx hatch. I continue to get these codes. Nobody around my place knows what a vtec spool solinoid valve is (CODE 21) could it be vtec not running at its full potential?

what ecu are you running? code 20 is ELD... my code 20 was solved by switching ecu's... try that or a known good alternator.

code 21 is the spool valve for vtec. (not the pressure switch)... make sure the line from the vtec solenoid goes directly to the correct pin on your ecu.

The OBD is a p30 and the rest of the head/ intake is sir 2 '92-+ with '97 crv base. (Trans '00 Sir) JE pistons and all the norms added to the engine. Should the p30 be grounded to the side in kick panel cause right now its "hangin' there".

I'm 34 and learning, no stanger to motor builds, just Hondas.

To date owned 3 vtec cars 92 Si, (2) 97 Si Can.(Ex)and all were stock 1.6's

So now with the crv's torque in the mid is strong but "falls off" at high rpm I cant tell if the valve timing is kicking in.

I'll check the wiring to see if somthing is loose.

I thank you Guys, Matthew.
