Code 16 Fuel injectors
 

Hey, a buddy of mine recently got a stock 94 EX.. Its running fine, but isn't hitting vtec and hits revlimit at about 6500-6800 rpm.. we pulled the code on it and its throwing a code 16, Fuel injectors. The car idles fine and runs fine. nothing appears to be wrong with the wiring or anything. completely stumped on this problem

is the CEL on? if not, under the hood is a 7.5 amp fuse while the car is off remove the fuse for 10 sec. this will remove the code. without the CEL on its likely not a hard code. check the ECU codes again after driving for ahwile and see if it returns. if it does one or more of the injectors could be faulty and should be checked and or swapped for a known good set. The ECU is in limp mode thus the low Redline.

thats what we figured with the no vtec/low redline was in limp mode. we reset the ecu.. drove for like 10 minutes and it was there.. no cel light though

how do you check the injectors? just check the resistance on them or what?
